Wellness and health
Wellness is the promotion of health through preventative measures and the practice of good health habits. Some Wellness Centers offer services such as routine physicals, immunizations, nutrition and exercise programs, as well educational classes on disease prevention. The concept of wellness programs teach the patients to take responsibility of their own health. Yes, we do see our physicians for our regular check-ups, but after the office visit, it is ourselves that is responsible for our well being. While the physician is here to guide us,
we must consider our eating habits, exercise habits, follow good personal hygiene care, reduce our stress and maintain positive
relationships in our lives. Cleanliness and a calm home environment are all contributing factors that are essential for wellness.
